Mill Park Secondary College is committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children.
We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our policies and procedures.
We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are concerned about a child’s safety.
Mill Park Secondary College is committed to identifying, and where possible, preventing child abuse by following established processes and protocols. As such we have regular training and education of staff around child abuse risks.
We have robust human resource management systems and recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers.
Mill Park Secondary College supports and respects all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to the cultural safety of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
The welfare of every student is a priority at Mill Park Secondary College. We recognise that international students have differing needs and require extra support to enable them to be settled and happy in a new environment.
Our students have access to a range of support services which includes Student Welfare Coordinators, youth workers, medical professionals, careers teachers, Year Level Coordinators and Home Group teachers.
